Kipling sings of the path to peace
Kipling’s “The Ballad of East and West” ( http://bit.ly/wGY7t9 ) contains instruction for achieving signifcant limited relief from this dispensation’s state of “wars and rumors of war”.
OH, East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet,
Till Earth and Sky stand presently at God’s great Judgment Seat;
But there is neither East nor West, Border, nor Breed, nor Birth,
When two strong men stand face to face, tho’ they come from the ends of the earth!
It has occurred to me that the last century contains at least one great and two notable examples of this priciple: Reagan-Gorbachev, Nixon-Mao, and Begin-Sadat.
