Verse of the Day 120202

February 2, 2012

(Phi 3:20 ESV) But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

Mini-lesson: The English Standard Version gets it right. As proper free subjects on earth of the Kingdom of Heaven, the elect Christians of Paul’s day awaited the full manifestation of the Savior which became available with the completion of scripture and the end of valid testimony under the Law and the end of the forty year dispensation learning period. (The translations of tradition miss the obvious gender of the relative pronoun, obviously spin the logic to suggest the Lord comming from heaven, and are inconsistent with other scriptures regarding our Lord’s return.) (The removal of the Christian elect from the world is actually prefigured by the  Transfiguration. Elijah represents the bodily translated. Moses represents those risen from the dead. The change to spiritual bodies comes at the seventh, that is, the last, trumpet in the middle of the Tribulation.)
