No Christian sheep

February 1, 2012

{{_ James/Peter to the Jews, Paul to the gentiles. Two folds.}}

The notion that Christians are sheep is widespread, but wrong.

There is one fold. The congregation of Israel whose worship is centered in the Temple.

Only some in the fold belong to Jesus. These are those begotten again under the Law. The faithful remnant.

Other sheep belong to Jesus, but are not of this fold. These are represented by those to whom Philip the evangelist is later sent. The Samaritans. Those whose private parts have been cut. The sons of strangers. These are excluded from the congregation of Israel under the Law. The inclusion of these in the messianic kingdom is fortold by, I believe, Isaiah.
