Why do we wear clothes?

January 12, 2012

Why do we wear clothes?

Because we have lost the intimacy of innocence.

We no longer have the intimacy of walking in full communion with God.

(With one notable virgin born exception, the bodily innocence of man will not be restored until the last trumpet. And then, only for some.)

And we no longer have the intimacy of walking in full communion with one another.

Since all live, and move, and have their being, in Him.

A special fleshly intimacy remains when an early instruction to all is followed.

And it is entirely proper within that human institution that began in the Garden.

(Gen 3:7 KJG) And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
