{{_  I’m speaking exclusively of the experience of local believers as they proceed out of Ephesians 4:14 into 4:15,16.  I can’t even begin to make sense of, or address what has become known as church.}}

___ (Eph 4:13-16 NKJ)  till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head– Christ– 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

___ Through spiritual understanding individual believers are able to progress from v. 14 to vv. 15-16. Baptized humanity in general is without doctrinal understanding of these things because traditions have obscured the clear meaning of the Word in v. 13. The completion of scripture is in view. It tales a bit of study and meditation to see this. We have all grown up with traditions obscuring the Word. And most do not have the leisure to check out the Greek.
